Privacy Policy for Cugi

Last updated: 11 September 2026

Cugi ("the app", "we", "us") is a mobile riddle game. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using Cugi you agree to the practices described here.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Cugi is operated by an individual developer. For any privacy question or request, contact us at cugi.support@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

Account information you provide. When you create an account, we collect your email address, a password, and a display name that you choose. Your password is handled securely by our authentication provider and is never visible to us in readable form.

Game content and activity. We store the riddles you create, the guesses you make, your scores and points, and any reports you submit about other players' riddles. Your display name is shown publicly next to riddles you create and on leaderboards.

Advertising and device information. Cugi shows ads through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier, IP address, and general device information, as described in Google's policies. We do not sell your personal information.

Usage information. To understand how the game is played and improve it, Cugi records in-app events through Google Analytics for Firebase — for example which screens are opened, whether a riddle or grid was solved, and whether reminders were allowed or opened. These events are linked to an app-instance identifier and general device information (such as device model, operating system and approximate region), and contain no email address, display name, or anything you type.

Reminders. If you allow notifications, Cugi may show a reminder when you haven't played for a few days. Reminders are scheduled on your device; the time you last opened the app is used only there to decide when to show them, and is not sent to us. You can turn reminders off at any time in your device's notification settings.

Cugi does not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera data.

3. How we use information

4. Third-party services

We use trusted service providers to run the app, each governed by its own privacy policy:

5. Advertising choices

You can reset or limit ad personalization at any time from your device settings: on Android, Settings → Google → Ads. Learn more at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

6. Data retention

We keep your account and game data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete your profile and associated personal data, except where we must retain limited records to comply with law or prevent abuse.

7. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing cugi.support@gmail.com. To delete your account and its data, contact us at the same address and we will process your request.

8. Children

Cugi is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

We use Google Firebase's managed infrastructure and access rules to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to safeguard your information.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, announced in the app.
